reviews-day tues...err...wednesday?

Hey Guys! My apologies! I apparently slacked a little yesterday! I'd like blame it on being exhausted, but thats a lame excuse because I had like 12 hours of sleep the other night...so what can I blame it on? Destiny? Yeah, lets go with that. It was my destiny NOT to blog yesterday. I wonder what that ripple effect has caused. Anyways, we will save destiny and fate for another blog post, today is reviews-day! Here are the movies I've watched this week:

My Side of the Mountain (4/5)
Starring: Teddy Eccles.
So this is the adaptation of the book that I recently read. Its not completely the same, but there are definitely a lot of similarities. It was pretty cute and nicely filmed (considering it was made in 1969). If I saw this movie was I was younger, Im pretty sure this would be a favourite of mine.

Kick-Ass (4.8/5)
Starring: Aaron Johnson
So the thing is, I love superhero movies. If I could be a superhero, I would totally make the costume and do it up, so for me this movie was awesome. My only problem with it was the murder and swearing. Prude much? Jeez! haha For me, I dont think anyone has the right to kill another human (for the most part), and a lot of the killing in the movie was unnecessary and excessive, just like the swearing...mainly from Hit Girl. Other than that, this movie will be watched regularly in my home.

The Hangover (?/5)
Starring: Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis, Ed Helms, & Justin Bartha.
Undecided. The first time I watch this movie, I wasnt the hugest fan. There was a lot that I just found too outrageous. Everytime I watch this movie however, I grow fonder and fonder. So as of right now, I dont think it is fair for me to pass judgement completely. If you have ever blacked out while partying to hard though, you will definitely like this movie.

Shrek Forever After (5/5)
Starring: Mike Meyes, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz, & Antonio Banderas.
Judge me if you will, but I LOVE the shrek movies. I know alot of people didnt like any of the others, but I enjoyed this. I like how this finished off the story nicely. Thanks for the memories Shrek.

Jungle 2 Jungle (4/5)
Starring: Tim Allen.
Tim Allen is funny. I dont care what you say, he is funny. Classic Tim Allen antics too. And the writing in this movie is funny.

Robin Hood: Men in Tights (5/5)
Starring: Cary Elwes, Richard Lewis, Roger Rees, Amy Yasbeck, Dave Chappelle, & many more.
Everytime I watch this movie, I laugh myself into tears. I love anything Mel Brooks touches though.
