reviews-day tuesday.

Reviews for this week:

The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas (5/5)
Starring: Burt Reynolds & Dolly Parton.
"Town Sheriff and regular patron, fights to keep a historical whorehouse open when a TV preacher targets it as the Devils playhouse."
Such an awesome music! Plus I love Dolly! Have I told you about the time I saw her in concert?

Eight Below (5/5)
Starring: Paul Walker, Bruce Greenwood, & Jason Biggs.
"Brutal cold forces two Antarctic explorers to leave their team of sled dogs behind as they fend for their survival."
Was a little worried about this one. Sometimes I fear for real animals being in movies, but I loved this. So adorable and the fact that its based on a true story is incredible. It makes me really want to get a dog...sooner than later.

Snatch (5/5)
Starring: Jason Statham & Brad Bitt.
"Unscrupulous boxing promoters, violent bookmakers, a Russian gangster, incompetent amateur robbers, and supposedly Jewish jewelers fight to track down a priceless stolen diamond."
It's been a while since I've seen this one and every time I watch it, I pick up something new that Mickey says. Best scene is when the three different groups are driving! Watch it and tell me you don't agree.

Broken Hearts Club: A Romantic Comedy (5/5)
Starring: Timothy Olyphant, Zach Braff, Dean Cain
"The shortest distance between friends isn't always a 'straight' line."
I was on a Zach Braff kick and decided to check this movie out. Was not expecting anything regarding this movie and was pleasantly surprised. I loved the characters and I loved the comedy.

Garden State (5/5)
Starring: Zach Braff & Natalie Portman.
"A quietly troubled young man returns home for his mother's funeral after being estranged from his family for a decade."
Again, its been a while for this one too! I love this movie. Such a beautiful film! I also love that Zach Braff wrote it, directed it, and starred in it. Talk about talent!
P.S. Anyone else think Elizabethtown kinda stole this idea from Braff?

To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar (5/5)
Starring: Wesley Snipes, Patrick Swayze, & John Leguizamo.
"Three drag queens travel cross-country until their car breaks down, leaving them stranded in a small town."
Another oldie, but a goodie! I don't care what anyone says! I love this movie! Seeing these three male actors in their best dress is phenomenal! Plus Stockard Channing is in it and I don't think she allows herself to be in bad movies.
