best. grey's. ever.

SO...
As you all know, I love music.

BUT...
Did you know that I have a weak spot for TV shows that perform musical numbers?

WELL...
Grey's Anatomy decided they would step up to the plate...err...mic rather...and perform a musical episode; Song Beneath the Song

I loved it!

Then again, I am biased. I love Sara Ramirez. She was noticed by ABC executives after they saw her perform in Monty Python's Spamalot; which she won a Tony Award for back in 2005. My love for her has grown. She is ridiculously talented and if you missed out on tonight's episode, don't fret!
You can purchase any/all of the songs on iTunes.

Unfortunately, not all of the cast *cough* Patrick Dempsey *cough* were feeling very musically inclined, but props to the rest of them.
These are the song's they performed this evening:

biggie said it best...

..."it was all a dream."...Thank goodness.

Last night I had a dream, or rather nightmare. Three of my worst fears all in one place. The water, a shark, and a crocodile. Talk about the starting of a bad joke. Apparently I could breathe under water and liked to swim under boats during the day...weird. I assumed I was some form of "mer-man" without the tail. While we're on that topic, I used to think the male version of a mermaid was a merbutler.

Back to the dream -- I'm swimming around doing my "under the water boat" thing when from the corner of my left eye, I see a dark shadow. I know it's a shark. Then from the corner of my right eye, I see a dark shadow. I know it's a crocodile. I know shit is about to go down, but I don't try to escape. I just keep swimming, swimming, swimming...Finding Nemo reference anyone?

I feel like I am about to be the referee in an epic battle of the beasts. The two dark shadows, become clear figures and start attacking each other. Somehow I get entwined between the two of them. It's completely intense! I don't feel any pain. I am cut and gouges of flesh are taken out of me. The water is thick with blood. It seems like hours go by. The water starts to settle and become clear. The battle is over.

The worst part of the dream...I don't know who won. I was still alive (I think), and the shark and crocodile were gone.

Who do you think would win in an epic battle of Shark vs. Crocodile?

reviews-day tuesday.

Reviews for this week:

The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas (5/5)
Starring: Burt Reynolds & Dolly Parton.
"Town Sheriff and regular patron, fights to keep a historical whorehouse open when a TV preacher targets it as the Devils playhouse."
Such an awesome music! Plus I love Dolly! Have I told you about the time I saw her in concert?

Eight Below (5/5)
Starring: Paul Walker, Bruce Greenwood, & Jason Biggs.
"Brutal cold forces two Antarctic explorers to leave their team of sled dogs behind as they fend for their survival."
Was a little worried about this one. Sometimes I fear for real animals being in movies, but I loved this. So adorable and the fact that its based on a true story is incredible. It makes me really want to get a dog...sooner than later.

Snatch (5/5)
Starring: Jason Statham & Brad Bitt.
"Unscrupulous boxing promoters, violent bookmakers, a Russian gangster, incompetent amateur robbers, and supposedly Jewish jewelers fight to track down a priceless stolen diamond."
It's been a while since I've seen this one and every time I watch it, I pick up something new that Mickey says. Best scene is when the three different groups are driving! Watch it and tell me you don't agree.

Broken Hearts Club: A Romantic Comedy (5/5)
Starring: Timothy Olyphant, Zach Braff, Dean Cain
"The shortest distance between friends isn't always a 'straight' line."
I was on a Zach Braff kick and decided to check this movie out. Was not expecting anything regarding this movie and was pleasantly surprised. I loved the characters and I loved the comedy.

Garden State (5/5)
Starring: Zach Braff & Natalie Portman.
"A quietly troubled young man returns home for his mother's funeral after being estranged from his family for a decade."
Again, its been a while for this one too! I love this movie. Such a beautiful film! I also love that Zach Braff wrote it, directed it, and starred in it. Talk about talent!
P.S. Anyone else think Elizabethtown kinda stole this idea from Braff?

To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar (5/5)
Starring: Wesley Snipes, Patrick Swayze, & John Leguizamo.
"Three drag queens travel cross-country until their car breaks down, leaving them stranded in a small town."
Another oldie, but a goodie! I don't care what anyone says! I love this movie! Seeing these three male actors in their best dress is phenomenal! Plus Stockard Channing is in it and I don't think she allows herself to be in bad movies.

we're not born this way...

...okay, maybe Gaga is a little right.
There are a lot things about ourselves that we are born by,
but hate is not one of them.
Hate is taught, and its awful.
There is no need for that negativity.

So get rid of it.

I'm not sayin' you have to be a saint, what I'm sayin' is...listen to The Beatles.

Be Well. Love You.

coming home on a sunday.

I had that Bachelorette party last night and had a good night (for the most part). Luckily, I didn't get too inebriated, and my lovely friend SG drove me into town AND picked me up after the bar (so I could actually enjoy myself). Luckily, I was not hungover today, so I got a lot of cleaning accomplished.
Anyways, here are my song selections this week:

20 questions.

As promised, here are the question's from last night's 1g5g and our answers:

20. Do you think the Queen has ever performed oral sex?
JV: Oh most def back in the day. Every curious teenaged girl puts "peen" in her mouth at some point.
JT: I honestly don't think she's been alone long enough to be allowed to have anything other than a crumpet to those lips.
JV: hahaha for sers? Even when she was little? I guess if you grow up in that scene, you're pretty guarded...?
JT: That's kinda what I think. Like really, if you were brought up in that atmosphere, I don't know if you would even think that was "right" y'know?
JV: haha. True. I still think she prolly stuck it in at some point, if she knows whats good for her.

19. Have you ever gone down on a woman?
JV: Unfortunately. haha. ew. you go!
JT: LOL Yes, I have gone down on a woman! haha
JV: haha ewwwww but good on ya.

18. Were you the most likely to be picked first or last in gym class?
JV: Hmmm somewhere in the middle. I wasn't useless, but I wasn't the most popular.
JT: I was a chub and knew nothing about sports; usually chosen right near the end. I was never picked last though, so that's sayin' something, right? haha
JV: Haha awww yes, that def counts for something. I haaated gym class in highschool, cause that's when I started getting super awk and highschool is already awk enough.
JT: I definitely hated gym class. I remember fully spraining my ankle, so I could avoid that class!
JV: hahahaha on purp?
JT: LOL YES!
JV: Bahahahah How did you do it? That's so outrageous! And hilar!
JT: I kinda "fell" down my stairs at home! Completely horrible, I know! haha
JV: Hahaha ooomg you crazy moaf. kk next Q!

17. If you had one night with Jake Gyllenhaal, what would you do with him?
JV: oooooomg. what WOULDN'T I do with him?
JT: HAHAHAHA
JV: I'd get him to tie me up and have his way with me.
JT: Haha that's great! I'd probably raid his phone to see who's contacts I could steal! And then have a BBQ and some beers out by the fire. Not as exciting as your night.
JV: Ohh no, that sounds totes fun too. Especially the phone part and bbq and beer and fire...so the whole thing!
JT: Your night could start the same way, but finish the other! haha
JV: haha now you're talkin'

16. Describe the last conversation you had with a doctor?
JV: I got tested for STDs. She told me to wear condoms....haha -- I was all clear FYI
JT: Haha congrats! Smart doctor. Honestly, I cant remember the last time I saw a doctor. I dont go regularly. I had a dream about a doctor last night and it was pretty intense. They said I need to stop all the things I am doing, because my heart cant handle it. Then I went under for heart surgery.
JV: Haha omg so intense! Maybe it's a sign you should go get a physical?
JT: Probably. Next Q!

15. Do you think "Fuck" should be censored in pop music?
JV: Hmmm good question. My instinct is to say yes, because it is esentially the mother of all curses, buuut at the same time it's become so commonplace that everyone is kind of desensitized to it so its kind of lost its effect.
JT: I know what you mean. I really don't think it needs to be played on the radio though. Its one thing to play it at the bar or something, where you know people of age can hear it, but I dont think kids really need it on the radio. TV and Internet cover enough of that. However, saying that...Fuck You by Cee Lo Green is amazing!
JV: I agree about the radio. If it was controlled and limited to people who are of age, then I would condone. And I totes agree about Cee Lo. The forget you version is just not the same AT ALL. Like, AT AAAAALLLLL.

14. Have you ever been present for a pet's death?
JV: Nooo, but almost. Me and my mom took Zeke in to put him to sleep once, but the vet talked my mom out of it. Sooo I went in fully expecting to have him put down, but then it didn't happen. So no, but yes.
JT: I haven't had to take my pet, but I've had to comfort my mom twice when she took both my dogs in. Honestly, it was so sad. Not just losing my pets, but having my mom cry in my lap.
JV: Awww that would be the worst. Pet deaths are simply the worst. Like, I'm still not over Marvs disappearance.
JT: Completely! I am not looking forward to that when I get my own.

13. Prince William or Prince?
JV: William. Prince is weird.
JT: agreed.

12. Would you rather be Hot or Smart?
JV: Oh god. Tough. I think smart though, because smart can be hot.
JT: Definitely tough, but I would go with smart as well.

11. Do you think Oprah is good in bed?
JV: Hahaha omg! So in university, me and my close friends all made lists of 5 famous people we could sleep with (like on that episode of friends) and Oprah was on my list. So YES I think so.
JT: THANKS FOR THAT!! haha. I think she would be overly enthusiastic and pretty good!
JV: Bahaha overly enthus, like when she yells things? That feels SOO GOOOOOOOD!!!! hahah
JT: Exactly! "Ohh! Right there! That's one of MY FAVOURITE THINGS!"

10. What is too much PDA?
JV: I don't like PDA. However, I feel like playing, hand holds, and kisses are ok. I just find it offensive and disgusting when people find it necessary to hang off eachother like the apocalypse is nearing.
JT: I completely agree. I like hand holding, hugs, and little kisses when parting ways, but anything else...get a room.

9. Do you have a good sense of how good someone is in bed, just by looking at them?
JV: I'd like to think so, but I think thats very hard to judge, just by looks, because I feel like the way I look is probably very different from the way I am in bed.
JT: I agree too. I think on some level you can judge, just on physical attractions and what you may be capable of doing with them as well.
JV: Agreed.

8. If you could spend the day in a woman's body, What would you want to experience?
JV: sex.
JT: Honest! Haha It would be interesting to feel a woman's orgasm. For me, I would want to experience child birth. Want a kid much JT? haha
JV: Oooh my god really? I don't think I could handle that.
JT: I could, knowing the outcome.

7. Draw what you think of when you think of Yerxa. Alright, so we can't draw, but we can say what comes to mind, when we think Yerxa.
JV: A big wiry BUSH!
JT: Haha I think beard and plaid.
JV: Haha A plaid bear. D. Hahah not bear.
JT: I WISH!
JV: That would be sick haha

6. Carrot Top or Verne Troyer?
JV: Omg the worst firebush in the world or a midget? I simply can't decide.
JT: Little Person JV.
JV: Haha Sorry.
JT: Carrot Top. I feel like Verne would be really mean....haha
JV: Hahaha why do you think this?
JT: Because of The Surreal Life.
JV: Oohh haha. Wasn't he a crazy drunk on that?
JT: Yes...Carrot Top would be my bitch.
JV: Hahaha oh no you di'int!
JT: Who's it gonna be JV?
JV: Carrot. Only because I feel slightly uncomfortable by little people, as awful as that is.
JT: Haha it's honest. My cousin is terrified of little people.
JV: haha.

5. Do you keep a Journal?
JV: Negative.
JT: Does my blog count?
JV: Yes, thats totes a journ.
JT: Then totes it is!
JV: like.
4. Who from the cast of this show would be least suitable to the guy on your left? We can't really answer this one, so we changed it up with, Who on the show would be least suitable for you?
JV: Yerxa. He's too smart.
JT: Santos. He's too creepy.
JV: Bahahahahha omg I change my answer to Santos, he's SUCH a creep and has issues

3. Have you ever been asked to not talk about something on the show? Again, we needed a different question, so after a lot of teeth pulling, JV finally came up with this: Do you take the bus? (Really JV? This is what you come up with? Lame.)
JT: No. I don't.
JV: Yes, everyday sadly.

2. Between the NBA, NFL, and NHL - which league do you think will have the first openly gay athlete?
JV: I think the NFL.
JT: Honestly, I dont know much about sports, but I'm shocked/surprised there hasn't been one yet!
JV: Agreed. I can't believe how behind the times the whole gay thing is. Like, can we just get over it already? It's so dumb and such a waste of time. I'm so glad Canada legalized it from the start, the US is making the rest of the world hesitant.
JT: Here's hopin' someday people will feel more safe or have the courage to be who they are.

1. I love the sound of ______ when I'm having sex.
JV: Breathing.
JT: Music.
JV: Really? Interesting! I don't really like music when I'm doing it.
JT: I'm a music buff. I associate a lot with music.
JV: Fair enough. I can dig it.

Thanks to JV for playing 20 questions with me. It was pretty fun! Maybe this could become a regular occurence!
Have any questions for JV or I? Let us know, in the comments below.
