Wherever I wander, wherever I roam...I couldn't be fonder, of my new home! I LOVE the my new place!
ALSO, I really take my sweet time to make posts, sorry about that.
The house is coming along nicely! The day I moved in, I tore up all the carpets, and painted all the walls. Its looking quite nice. I will try to raid my computer for some before and after pictures.
As much as I love my new home, you don't realize how much work is involved in maintaining one, until you own one. So props to all the singles out there! If I didn't have my friends and family coming over to help with things (especially weeding the gardens... thank you!), I would never have time to rest.
Some new things:
Agenda Item 1: My friend AC is officially my roommate! Its been awesome! We are very similar and constantly busy, so we don't cross paths often. When we do, we're usually exhausted and just want to veg and watch a movie together! Fantastic!
Agenda Item 2: My friends Brant and Erica...aka...Brantica are now house guests. About a month ago, the place where they were staying, had a flood, so I took them in. Its been going quite smoothly as well! You'd think having four people living in a tiny country home would cause some sort of problem. Especially with my only water source coming from the cisterns. For those of you who don't know what that is, let me tell you. The plumbing in my home is gathered by the rain. Basically, when it rains, it hits the roof, runs into the eavestroughs, which then go into my cisterns (holding tanks). So needless to say, I do not drink the water. Oh Culligan Man! Anyhoo, we haven't run out of water yet! The lowest we got was about 3 inches, but then it rained and brought it back up to about a foot or so, which is quite a bit in these large holding tanks.
Agenda Item 3: Today, I have orientation for my volunteer job. I applied for a position down at Martha's Table. Its a non-profit soup kitchen. I figured, I can spare at least one day a week for a couple of hours, to help out my community. I'm looking forward to it! Plus, volunteer work is always a great thing to throw on your resume.
Agenda Item 4: Looking for a part-time job. Anyone hiring?? I think I might look into getting a server position at one of the downtown pubs. Some extra pay, and some lovely tips. If I want to start up my side business, Ima need some extra cash to get myself out of debt first.
Anywho, I suppose that is enough of an update for now. Will try to update more frequently! Bye for now!

it's complicated.
Last night I went to one of my favourite places for dinner. Tom's. This is not a person, though I suppose it could be. Tom's Place is a fantastic little restaurant; attached to the Best Western. I love every item that I have tried on the Menu, but my kryptonite is their nachos! Best in town! Not only is the food great, but the music too. I have heard a lot of really new, old, and unique songs. I have never asked if they are just playing something from satellite radio or if the staff make their own playlist, but I love it. Last night's favourite was hearing James Taylor's version of Everyday. Beautiful. Anyhoo, back to the meal. My friend Sara G ordered a Chicken Caesar wrap and I ordered a platter of nachos. We split the nachos. While we waited for our meal, we played a little trivial pursuit. They give you a wine glass full of cards. She learned quickly how smart I truly am. HA! Thank you Sara for all the excellent hints! The best hint was your Hitler impersonation. wow.
After an enjoyable dinner, we parted ways and I drove home. I gave my friend AC a call to see what she was up to on the weekend. I am picking up my new couch for the house then and was hoping she and her truck were available. She ended up coming over last night for some wine, dinner and laughs. No. I did not eat AGAIN, but I couldn't let my guest starve. So I cooked her a lovely steak dinner. I'm an awesome friend.
Later we threw on It's Complicated. And let me say, It's funny! Such a good movie! Loved all the characters, but John Krasinski's character was fantastic and very similar to my own personality ! So funny! I definitely recommend this movie!
All in all, it was a randomly good night.

i still can't believe it.
It's been a while, but the time away has been good. My time has consisted of enjoying life, spending time with my friends and family, and saving money/paying off debt. Things are looking good. So good in fact, that I bought an old country home. The story behind making this huge decision is actually very long and sad. I am happy about the decision now, but it took a little morale boosting to make the end result a good one, but that's neither here nor there now. The house is very adorable; it needs a little bit of work (cosmetics). I will keep everyone posted on my interesting endeavours with my new home. I take possession on June 7th! I'm so pumped about it, but I still cant believe it!
